We need advice arranging ground transportation & hotel in Vancouver prior. Our family has 2 kids in car seats, and a grandmother in a wheelchair. We arrive the day before the cruise & are trying to avoid packing car seats. Any suggestions

    Ahoy, Tiffany!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm always excited to help a fellow Georgian with cruise plans so thank you for coming by to "sea" us! My crew experienced an amazing Alaskan voyage in 2015, and I remember figuring out the transportation piece was a bit stressful. But, Disney Cruise Line can definitely help make the beginning and end of your vacation as smooth and seamless as possible with their ground transportation and hotel partnerships in Vancouver. I strongly recommend looking into adding a hotel stay and purchasing ground transfers with Disney Cruise Line so they can take care of all your pre-cruise details. Their two options for hotels should work really well for your crew. The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located within the Vancouver International Airport so no transportation will be needed to get to your room! Ground transfers to the Canada Place Terminal will be the following morning and your luggage will be delivered for you. Disney Cruise Line's other partnership is with the Fairmont Waterfront which is within walking distance to the port. The transfers you purchase will transport you to this conveniently located hotel after your arrival in Canada. On embarkation morning, you'll be able to walk while your luggage will be picked up from your hotel room to be transferred over. You can add a hotel stay and your ground transportation by calling (800) 951-3532.

Tiffany, car seats can be left at home since public transportation vehicles such as motor coach buses, mini buses and taxis do not require them and often do not support them safely. If you do bring them along, they will need to be stored underneath a motor coach or in the back of a mini bus and/or taxi and in your stateroom on the ship.

I hope I've steered you in the right direction! Please write back if we can assist you again.
