Hiya, Blakely! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans with your family to travel to
Walt Disney World Resort! The only thing better than visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth is visiting with people you care about. I'd be happy to help you connect with the other Guests in your travel party to make planning as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Let me just grab my magic wand...
Blakely, it sounds like you've made the plans for all the Guests in your travel party and are looking to share these plans with your family members. The way to share these plans and connect your travel party to your account is to add them to your Family & Friends List. Here are a few steps to get you started:
- Make sure that the Guests in your travel party have made their own My Disney Experience accounts. This is the best way for them to be able to view and manage their plans, allowing everyone to take part in the magic!
- Once everyone's made their accounts, you'll want to log into your own account online. Hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab and click My Family & Friends.
- If you've made the plans for all the Guests in your travel party, you will likely see their names listed here with the words "Plans managed by me" next to them.
- Click "Update" next to each name, then click the "Share Planning with..." link. Here, you can invite each Guest to connect with you. Once they accept the invitation through email on their end, they'll be able to co-manage their plans and will connect through your Family & Friends List. This will make planning much easier!
- If you don't have any Guests listed in your Family & Friends List, you can click "Add a Guest" from your Family & Friends page to connect each person from your travel party to your My Disney Experience account.
- Ta-da! You are one step closer to your magical vacation!
Blakely, if any of the above steps didn't work for you, my next best piece of advice would be to
call a Cast Member. A little like real-life fairy godparents, they'll be able to stretch their wands and help you to connect with your travel party through your Family & Friends List. Be sure to have any information and confirmation numbers for the Guests in your travel party!
I have two more tips for you! First, be sure that you've made your Theme Park Reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your magical vacation. Second, take a little time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app before you arrive! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and - my favorite! -
mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!
I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust on your upcoming vacation!
Your Fairy Godmother in Planning,
Michelle
