    Is it necessary to purchase chear squad tickets to watch my runner start and finish at the wine and dine half marathon? Thanks!

    Hi Kathryn!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is so great as a runner knowing you'll have someone at the finish line to chEAR you on, so I'm sure your runner is excited to have you there for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon!

    The ChEAR Squad Package is by no means a necessity to be able to support your runner. As part of the ChEAR Squad Package, you'll receive a waterproof stadium blanket, Mickey clappers, reserved seating and restrooms. This provides some extra perks for those that wish, but without a ChEAR Squad Package you'll still have the ability to view your runner. There will be limited seating, so I would just make sure you are there with plenty of time.

    You will also want to sign up for runner tracking, either ahead of time online or at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. This will give you an idea of your runners pace and estimated finish time so you'll have an idea of when you should see them heading your way!
