Ahoy, Jenneth!
It sounds like you are ready to set sail on an enchanted getaway to the
Bahamas, which includes a visit to Disney's slice of paradise,
Castaway Cay! I love so many things about cruising with Captain Mickey that it's hard to pick a favorite, but Castaway Cay is up there on my list. My last two visits the weather has been nothing short of perfection, which makes it hard to leave this tropical oasis! I hope you'll experience the same on your visit on the
Disney Dream!
Disney Cruise Line always recommends their Guests travel with valid passports, but they are not required on a cruise that departs and returns to the same U.S. port. On your sailing, you can present your state- issued birth certificate (original or copy) and a government-issued photo ID (for those over the age of 16). The reason Disney Cruise Line suggests a passport for all Guests is in the event of an unlikely emergency. Guests who need to travel back to the United States from the Bahamas do need a valid passport for air travel.
My advice is to read over the
Passport Information on the Disney Cruise Line website so you can make an informed decision about traveling with or without one. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about your "Dream"y vacation with Disney!
