Is it necessary to deactivate old magic bands once you receive new ones? Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Amy,

I see that you are from Massachusetts and you probably have had enough of Elsa and her frozen ways this year.  I know that you are counting down the days until your spring trip.  From a person that has a daisy chain of Magic Bands, I learned the hard way that it's best to deactivate all of your old bands.  The computers get a bit confused when you have too many of them active at the same time.  The band can be deactivated through your My Disney Experience account.  I have the app and it's very simple to do.  Go to: Profile,Magic Bands & Cards, Your Magic Band & Cards, touch the band that you want to deactivate, and you're all set.  The same function can be performed on the web at My Disney Experience

It was a pleasure being able to to help you today.  Please come back and see us soon.

    Be Magical,
