Hey there, Patricia!
Thanks so much for stopping by today with this great question. I have a one-year-old myself, and when my family is staying at a value resort, we only stay at either
Disney's Pop Century Resort or
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
Both of these resorts are perfect for little ones, so how do you decide?
If your party is all about the characters...... you should choose Disney's Art of Animation Resort!
Disney's Art of Animation Resort easily has the best theme of any value category hotel at Walt Disney World Resort. Everywhere you look you will find larger-than-life statues of your friends from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. The pool here is also amazing. Themed after Finding Nemo, the
Big Blue Pool offers plenty of room for the entire family to swim and even offers a dedicated splash pad area that is perfect for a one-year-old.
If your party is all about convenience...... you should choose Disney's Pop Century Resort!
Disney's Pop Century resort has a smaller footprint than its big sister resort across the water, meaning that it will take you less time to get to the busses, pool, and food court. While not as heavily themed as Disney's Art of Animation Resort, this resort offers plenty of fun with life-sized Goofy and decade-themed decor!
Patricia, one of my favorite things that both of these resorts share is access to the
Disney Skyliner, which will whisk you away to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios in your own private gondola. Take about convenience!
To get to the Magic Kingdom from either resort, you will need to take a
bus, but the ride is not long at all, around 20 minutes. Buses generally depart the resort around every 15 to 20 minutes.
I hope that this gave you some guidance, Patricia. We here at planDisney are here to help you, so please come back if we can help you answer any other questions about your upcoming trip.
See you real soon!
