    Hi Nancy! We are taking our first Disney cruise in June to Alaska!! Can you recommend some excursions and port adventures for us? I have two boys, ages 13 and 11. Thanks!

    The adventures offered on the Alaskan sailings are unbelievable!  There are so many amazing experiences ashore that it will be a tough decision to pick, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of your selections. Here are a few of my suggestions that I think your family will enjoy in each stop.  Skagway is a quaint town and home to the historic White Pass and Yukon Railway so my first recommendation is the Glacier Lake Kayak and White Pass Adventure.  It is an active outing combined with a ride on the railway to learn the rich history of the" Trail of '98."  Two other excursions to look into is the Eagle Preserve Float Adventure and Lynn Fjord Cruise and Dog Sledding and Glacier Flightseeing. For Ketchikan, I have one suggestion that I think will be perfect for you and your boys-Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's Tour. This tour is filled with hands-on encounters with sea creatures that I'm sure your boys will love.  You set sail on the boat used in the TLC show "Deadliest Catch" so you can only imagine the astonishing stories you will hear during your tour!  Finally in Juneau, I suggest looking into these three adventures- Disney Exclusive Glacier Dog Musher for a Day, Dogsledding on Mendenhall Glacier by Helicopter, Enchanted Taku Glacier Lodge Flight and 5-Glacier Seaplane Discovery.  Like I said before, you really can't go wrong with any of these selections, but I hope you will include one that takes you over the skies of Alaska!  This vantage point is truly spectacular!  Have a look with your family and see what interests your boys best.  Good luck with your decisions!
