Hi Nancy! We'll be at MK on 12/18 but not doing MVMCP. We want to be rested for our cruise the next morning. Will there be any parades during the day or have any castle lighting b4 we have to leave the parK? Can't wait!! Just about 6 weeks to go! Thnx!

    Ahoy Connie!
It is wonderful to hear from you again!  It is almost time for your family to be sprinkled with some special holiday pixie dust on your magical Disney vacation!  The Magic Kingdom will be overflowing with festive holiday decor and will be jolly atmosphere during your visit!  At 3:00pm, Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade, will be presented for your enjoyment!  The holiday themed parade, Mickey's Once Upon A ChristmasTime Parade, will be later on during MVMCP.  After the sun goes down, the castle will be lit, but you will not get to see the special effects because it occurs during Holiday Wishes beginning at 9:30.  Since the park closes at 7:00 you should be able to get a few pictures of the dazzling Cinderella Castle before you depart!
I hope this helps with your planning!  If you have any other last minute questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
