Hi Nancy! My family is taking our first ever Disney cruise in June! Yay! We are doing the Alaska cruise on the Wonder. What do you recommend for activities on days that we are at sea? I have two boys, ages 13 and 11, my husband, and my in-laws.

    Ahoy Lori!
You have chosen the perfect voyage for your first Disney Cruise!  Disney Cruise Line has done an incredible job of offering a variety of activities for days at sea. Your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter will be your go-to guide throughout your cruise so you'll want to keep in handy so you don't miss out! Unique to the Alaskan sailings are the special presentations on Alaskan wildlife, history, geography, and personal stories by experts brought onboard each cruise. These presentations will provide your crew with a rich understanding of our 49th state! Disney's Art of Entertaining Series presented by the culinary team features Alaskan foods focusing on a different course with each presentation. You will leave with a delicious sampling and new recipe to add to your collection!  When the ship visits Tracy Arm, you will want to plan to be outside on the upper decks, deck four, or in Outlook Cafe to take in these breathtaking sights as the ship rotates continuously throughout the day. Cookies and cocoa are served on the upper deck to keep you warm and toasty!
Since your boys are 13 and 11, I know they will enjoy hanging out in Edge.  When you are looking for family time there will plenty to choose from including first-run Disney movies, game shows (Who Wants to Be a Mouseketeer, Mickey Mania, The Feud and The Wheel, and So You Think You Know Your Family), trivia, Bingo (18+ to purchase cards), pin trading, animation classes, games on the sports deck  and of course, swimming!  Another exclusive event to Alaska is the Pixar Pals Party held in the Lobby Atrium.  No Disney Cruise is complete without a few character visits so this is a great opportunity to see your favorite pals from Pixar!  Also, Mickey and the rest of the gang will be available for unique photos in their Alaskan attire on Tracy Arm day!
Also, you never know when you may see some amazing wildlife so keep your camera and binoculars ready!
    Enjoy!
