Welcome to planDisney, Cora! We are glad you brought your question to us.
Wholly unused tickets may be reassigned to another Guest in your
Family & Friends List. When you reassign the ticket, the
Disney Park Pass reservation associated with that ticket will transfer to the new ticket owner. Note that this is a change from how things used to work. In the past, the Disney Park Pass reservation was linked to an individual Guest profile, and if the ticket was transferred to a different Guest, the new Guest would then need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation.
Currently, when Guests make a Disney Park Pass reservation, they select which ticket linked to their profile they plan to use. (If a Guest only has one ticket, then that ticket is selected by default.) The Disney Park Pass reservation is then tied to that specific ticket. To reassign a ticket to a different Guest, use the menu button in the
My Disney Experience mobile app to select "Tickets and Passes", and select "Reassign Ticket". This will bring up your Family & Friends List, and you can select which Guest to assign the ticket to. Once you have confirmed the change, you should now see the new Guest's name when viewing details of the Disney Park Pass under "Future Plans". You can also complete this process on the
My Disney Experience website. Use the drop-down menu to go to "My Plans", then scroll down to just below the banner "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" to select the link for "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" on the left, where you'll find the option to "Reassign Ticket". You may only reassign tickets for yourself or Guests whose profiles you manage in your account. Any Guest who has their own My Disney Experience account will need to reassign the ticket from their account. At this time, it is not possible to transfer a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation without also transferring the ticket.
I hope that helps! If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to see us here again.
