Hello, my name is trey and i'm 25 years old, this year will be my family and I 1st X to DW. we are a family of 4 adults, and my dad is retired military, so my question is how could we get the military and room rates discount? and is there a 1st X discount?

Hi Trey! How exciting to be planning your family's first visit to Walt Disney World this year! While there's not a specific discount for first-time visitors, Disney has lots of Special Offers available, including some great discounts for active and retired members of the military and their families. Through September 28, Disney is offering members of the military savings of up to 40 percent on resort rooms and special discounted four-day park hopper tickets. These offers are available to retired, as well as active, members of the military; your dad just needs to present his military ID. Click here to read all the details. You can make reservations by calling 407-939-7830.

You might also want to check out Shades of Green. This deluxe resort on Disney property has a great location with huge rooms and  bargain rates and is available exclusively for active and retired members of the military and their families. You can find more information at www.shadesofgreen.org.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions, please come visit me again at the Moms Panel! Have a magical first vacation to Disney World!
