Hi Sean! Wow! Just three weeks away from your FIRST visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am excited for you! I hope you’ve got your “Countdown to Disney” going!
Selfie sticks are indeed a prohibited item in the four Disney theme parks and in the water parks as well. However, selfie sticks are allowed to be used at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel! So feel free to get the perfect pics at your resort using your selfie stick, but leave it in your room when headed out to the Disney Parks.
Sean, one of my family’s favorite things to do is have family photos taken throughout the four Disney Parks! We always ask the Cast Members with
Disney PhotoPass to take our pictures! They can be found at various locations throughout the parks! They always have fun poses to recommend! You should also ask if they can do a “magic shot” for you! A magic shot will add a little extra Disney fun to your photos! I’ve taken photos with my family and when I’ve visited solo! The photos make for great memories of your visit! Especially if it’s your first visit! There is no charge associated with photographers taking your picture. The charge only occurs if you decide to end up purchasing photos.
Here’s a first-time PRO TIP for you, Sean! Be sure to request a “1st Time” visitor button! These complimentary buttons can be picked up at the front desk of your resort hotel or at the Guest Relations office at any of the Disney Parks! Happy Planning!
