Staying at Polynesian early March 2024 and booked a standard view room. I've never been there. What will the status of construction be by March and is there a certain building I should hope to get a room in to avoid views of construction/noise

Aloha Angela, and welcome to planDisney!

There's really nothing like looking ahead to tropical vacations on the horizon, especially if they're right here at Walt Disney World Resort! Since it'll be your first time at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I'm happy to lend you some insight on what you might expect when you get here. I recently ventured over to pay a little visit and snag a treat from Pineapple Lanai while I asked the Cast Members about your upcoming stay:

    • They also let me know that they remain committed to ensuring that to avoid any disruption to guests' stays at the resort, "activities that may create noise will not start earlier than 9:00 AM." It is important to note that the buildings currently closest to the ongoing work are named as follows: Fiji, Tuvalu and Aotearoa. The buildings furthest from these tend to be for Disney Vacation Club members with stays at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, but it's always worth calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line directly in order to see whether you can make a request to avoid any noise disruptions during your stay.
Nevertheless, the vast majority of the resort itself remains just as beautiful and lives up to its long legacy that begin in 1971;  prepare for your upcoming stay by checking out our planDisney Pocket Guide to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort which we've published since the previous round of reimagined spaces had been recently completed. I also recommend that you take a peek at some 360-Degree Resort Images provided by Disney Vacation Club in order to really gain a sense of the surroundings you'll enjoy during you upcoming visit, and come back to planDisney again for any other tips or advice ahead of your Polynesian adventures!

Here's to some sunny skies and sandy shores on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort stay!
