Hello Mayra,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for cruising by with your important question. I'm happy to assist you! But first, congratulations! How exciting to be sailing into a new marriage and a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Having the
proper identification is so important as you make your plans, so I'm glad you are planning ahead. I reached out to a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member, Samil, and learned that your reservations should match your Naturalization Certificate. You will need to bring that document along with your government-issued ID and your marriage certificate on your cruise, too. If your reservation is in your married name, I recommend that you
contact Disney Cruise Line, either by phone or the Live Chat on the website for assistance with changing the name so that it matches your Naturalization Certificate.
Mayra, keep in mind that you will need to
submit photos of all of your documents during the Online Check-In process, so go ahead and have those ready to go before that date arrives. Your Online Check-In date is based on your
Castaway Club membership level. When your day arrives, navigate your way to the
Already Booked tab and select My Reservations to complete your check-in. For Guests with multiple documents requiring verification, it may take a few days or even weeks for you to get an email saying your documents have been approved. Therefore, I recommend beginning the check-in process as soon as your window opens so you will be ready to go when your sail date rolls around. Remember, you must present those documents in person on embarkation day.
Speaking of names, Mayra, one of the most exciting moments of your cruise is when the Crew Members introduce you to the other Guests and Crew as you board. Before you enter the ship, a Crew Member will ask how you would like to be introduced, so be thinking now about which name you plan to use for you and your crew!
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have other questions or would like tips for making the most of your vacation.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
