Say "cheese," Sara! Thanks for snapping a great question over to us. I consider Memory Maker an essential part of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations. I do not have to be tied to my big camera, unless I really want to, during our adventure-packed days in the theme parks. I simply let Disney's PhotoPass photographers take care of our vacation memories.
I have some great news for you, Sara. Your
Memory Maker purchase is not actually tied to your Resort hotel stay, so you can begin using Disney's PhotoPass Service at any time. You are welcome to visit the
Disney PhotoPass Service Studio on February 11 and have your pictures linked to your account. Memory Maker will be considered "activated" when you complete your first picture download. Once you see one of your pictures from the studio appear in your My Disney Experience mobile app, go ahead and download or unlock one of them so Memory Maker will activate. From that point on, you will have 30 days to take more Disney's PhotoPass photos.
Sara, do you have your MagicBands yet? It can be scanned while at Disney's PhotoPass Studio to link your pictures to your My Disney Experience account and your Memory Maker purchase. If you plan to pick up your MagicBands later at your resort hotel, then the photographer can link the pictures to a PhotoPass Card.
Linking this card to your account is a very easy process and all you will need are the identification numbers on the back of the card. Quick tip for you - take a picture of those numbers just in case it gets lost before you link it!
I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip.
