Ahoy, Georgette!
I'm so thrilled for you to experience your inaugural Disney Cruise Line vacation next spring! And it sounds like you'll be enjoying both a
land and sea adventure, so that's even more magical! You have a lot to look forward to when you set sail with Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of their seafaring crew, so I hope you're ready for a
vacation like no other.
Georgette, I completely understand wanting to arrive at Disney Cruise Line's terminal at
Port Canaveral as soon as possible. When utilizing Disney Cruise Line
ground transportation to the port, you'll find out your assigned pick-up time the night before your departure. A letter with all the important details about your embarkation day transportation will be delivered to your room. Schedules change for every cruise depending on where Guests select to stay pre-cruise, so it's difficult to predict what time your motorcoach will arrive at the terminal. Resort hotel pick-ups are usually scheduled for mid-morning to early afternoon, and the ride to the port can range from 60 to 90 minutes depending on traffic. What I can tell you is that your luggage will be picked up from your Resort hotel room at 8:00 a.m. and the only thing you'll need to bring with you on the ship is your day bag with your essential items (passport, medications, swimsuits, and sunscreen). Once you arrive at the port, you'll check-in and receive a boarding number, which does not take long at all. You'll be strolling up the gangway ready to get your cruise vacation started before you know it!
Thank you for cruising by with your question! If you think of any others as you plan for your enchanted journey with Disney Cruise Line, please let us know.
