Hi Elizabeth,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sailing by with your question. You must be so excited to embark on your Disney Cruise Line holiday in August! What a perfect time to
get away with your little one and enjoy an adventure at sea.
You must
request a portable crib (also known on Disney Cruise Line as a port-a-crib or Pack 'n Play) for one to be placed in your stateroom, so let me walk you through the process. Navigate to the
My Reservations link under the Already Booked tab on the Disney Cruise Line website. From there you will select and complete the Special Requests form. These requests are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability, so I recommend that you go ahead and submit your request. Once on board, you can ask your Stateroom Host to set up and take down the crib each day if that is convenient for you. I hope your little one "sleeps like a baby" on the ship; I know I do!
Elizabeth, if you are planning some adult-only time during your cruise, the
“it’s a small world” nursery! is a welcoming and safe place for your little one to spend some time for an additional fee. I encourage you to visit during the Open House on embarkation day. You can make reservations in person that day or any day of your cruise.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and have a four-hour cancellation policy.
I hope this information gets you and your family off to a dreamy start to your cruise. Please write back if you have other questions or would like more tips for making the most of your holiday.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
