Hi Zoe, welcome to planDisney! I recently visited Disney World with my extended family of 14 and it wasn't possible (or enjoyable!) to do everything together with such a large group. Some of us were excited to "rope drop" while others preferred to sleep in. Now, let’s make sure your family is all set to enter the parks!
Once you and your daughter are linked in each others’
Friends & Family List, your family’s tickets should show up in your daughter’s
My Disney Experience mobile app. When you or your daughter enter one of the theme parks, you can scan everyone’s tickets from your app (under My Tickets & Passes).
However, there are a couple of other options that might make things easier for your family!
Key to the World Card: You can bring your family members to the
Guest Relations window outside any of the theme parks or at the Disney Springs Welcome Center to get a plastic Key to the World Card. This will let each of your family members enter the park by themselves. If you’re staying at a Disney World resort hotel, you can get this card at the front desk (and it’ll also serve as their room key!).
MagicBand: This wristband can be used similarly to the Key to the World Card, and can be purchased at many Disney World gift shops and on
DisneyStore.com. If you’re staying at a Disney World resort hotel, you can purchase discounted MagicBands ahead of your stay (Under
My MagicBands & Cards in your
My Disney Experience account). I find MagicBands really convenient since you don’t have to pull out your phone or card every time you want to enter the theme parks or a
Lightning Lane entrance. And there are so many fun Disney designs to choose from!
You can also encourage family members 13 years or older to create their own My Disney Experience account. This opens the option of setting up
Disney MagicMobile which lets them add their ticket to their phone's mobile wallet.
If you’re visiting EPCOT during your trip, don’t miss the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! You’ll find special food kiosks throughout the park, an interactive paint by numbers mural, art inspired photo ops, and my favorite—the
Disney on Broadway Concert Series.
Wishing you a magical family vacation next month!
