Ahoy there, Carrie.
I'm glad you followed that crew of swashbuckling pirates across the high seas and landed here at planDisney where no question walks the plank! We'll happily follow the map to where X marks the spot and dig up that buried treasure (an answer) for you.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Carrie. There is nowhere more magical than The Most Magical Place on Earth, especially during the
Holiday Season! My husband and I’s deep affinity for our “home” away from home began in 2011 on a delayed honeymoon the week before Christmas. That singular trip turned into an annual tradition, and I cannot begin to tell you what Walt Disney World Resort means to us because of the priceless memories we’ve made together along the way. I’m excited you will have the chance to make your own cherished memories this yEAR!
The first (and most important) choice you will make in planning your magical vacation is where to stay. With so many fabulous Disney Resorts Collection hotels to choose from, it’s no wonder you’re having trouble deciding! The good news is no matter where you end up, you’ll receive the same world-class service Disney is known for and have
a host of Resort benefits at your disposal. I imagine you want everyone in your traveling party to be as comfortable as possible, so let’s see what options could work for your party size.
The Standard View rooms at
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort can accommodate up to five adults. They have two queen beds and a twin-size sleeper sofa. It sounds like this is the Resort you have your heart set on, so hooray that your party can fit! If you stay here, you’ll be within walking distance to EPCOT and the Disney Skyliner to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can’t beat that convenience, in my opinion!
Now, if your party wants more room to spread out, the 1 Bedroom Villa over at
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa also sleeps up to five adults. However, they also have a full kitchen, living space, split bathroom, and bedroom and would allow everyone to have a little separation. You would not have the convenient access to EPCOT, but you would have convenient access to Disney Springs.
If you compare the nightly rate for Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for your arrival date, the two rooms are very similarly priced. You would then need to choose between location, what your heart wants more, and space. Now, if those Resorts are too pricey, you could instead stay in a Family Suite at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. They have a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and sleep up to six. You could also book two or three separate rooms at one of the
Value Resort Hotels and request that they be near each other. Either of these options will be more economical.
Carrie, I encourage you to search for available rooms during the dates of your trip on the Walt Disney World Resort website's homepage. Just input your dates and the number of adults and children/teens at the top, then select "View Rates" to see exactly which Resorts have availability to accommodate your party size. I hope this helps, but feel free to drop me a line if I can help you further.
The magic is calling,
Alyssa
