Ahoy Mindy!
Thanks for your great question! Disney Cruise Line does charge the
suggested gratuities for your dining server, assistant server, head server and stateroom host/hostess to your onboard account at the beginning of your sailing. This service allow you to tip the wonderful crew members who assist you on a daily basis only once instead of each day. On the last evening of your sailing, you will use the envelopes and pre-paid gratuity vouchers provided by the cruise line to thank your servers and stateroom host/hostess for their service. Tips for bar service are included in your drink charge (15%), but other tips will be at your discretion (spa services, adult-dining, port adventure operators, porters at the cruise terminal, and room service orders). Since the ship is cashless you won't need a lot, but it is good to have some cash to use for tipping the porters, room service tips, and tour operators tips on Port Adventures.
I hope my answer gives you a better idea of what you can expect on your sailing, Mindy! If I can help you further, please let me know!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
