Will be going to MVMCP on 12/08/09 and I wonder if I make dinner reservations at Crystal Palace at 5:30 PM will that be enough time before the party starts? Also I read we are allowed in the park at 4:00 pm. Is that correct?

Guests with tickets to the evening parties at the Magic Kingdom (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) will be allowed into the park using only the party ticket after 4:00 p.m.

The vast majority of character dining experiences at WDW take about an hour, or sometimes a bit less if you're a fast eater and it's a buffet-style meal. The official events for MVMCP begin at 7:00 p.m. With a 5:30 dinner reservation, you should certainly be done by 7:00, and will probably done well before this.

Your plan sounds great to me. Enjoy the party!
