MVMCP tix for 11/8/13. Does the castle lighting happen before the xmass party? Trying to figure out what time to get there..don't want to miss that! We won't be back to magic kingdom during our trip. Thanks!

    Hi, Dawn!

Congratulations on scoring Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets for November 8th! This will be the first party night of the season and there is sure to be a lot of magic in the air! The castle lighting -- officially called Cinderella's Holiday Wish -- happens at approximately 6:15 PM just as the sun is setting in the sky all through the Disney holiday season (November 8 through December 31 in 2013). It's such an amazing sight to see the Castle transformed into a shimmering delight with icicle lights magically appearing on every tower and turret!

Guests with Christmas Party tickets are typically allowed to enter Magic Kingdom around 4:00 PM on Party days, so you may want to take advantage of the early entry to enjoy some extra time in the park (particularly since this will be your only day in Magic Kingdom during your trip).

I hope this helps! Please be sure to stop by the Moms Panel again with any other questions as you continue to plan your trip.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
