Let's get ready to jingle, Alyssa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this ho-ho-holiday question. Even though we're currently in spooky season mode at Walt Disney World Resort, I can't wait for sleigh bells and reindeer. Kudos for securing tickets to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party; that's the best gift of all! Let's talk about activities you can accomplish before the festivities begin.
While the holiday party is from 7:00 PM to midnight, you are correct that ticket holders are often
granted entry around 4:00 PM. Remember, those lines at the theme park entrance can be a bit long at 4:00 PM, so my first tip is to arrive around 3:30 PM to be one of the first guests to access
Magic Kingdom Park for the party.
Because of the queues at the entrance, I recommend making your dining reservation closer to 4:30 PM. That allows you time to scan in at the gate and reach the restaurant. My tip is to use your
mobile app to check in as soon as you're close enough to the location.
My husband and I are fans of
Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Many guests overlook this charming location in the rush to Main Street, USA, but if you linger at the square, you'll see Tony's to the right. They serve delicious Italian fare, and my tip is to ask for a table on the front porch so you can people-watch. The bonus is that you'll see it as soon as you enter the park, so you can have your meal and then head on to the party!
Alyssa, I'm wishing on a pumpkin, or perhaps a snowflake, that your upcoming visit is magical. Please come back by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
