What are some "must-do's" at Disney World during the holiday season?

    Hiya, Emily!

For my family, the holidays at Walt Disney World truly are the most wonderful time of the year. Every park and resort is festooned with holiday finery.

The highlight for us is the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Use all of your senses to savor the season as you enjoy the Holiday Kitchens, featuring seasonal favorites from around the world; the Holiday cookie stroll - all the bites, none of the baking; and the crown jewel of the festival - the Candlelight Processional. All the Christmas feels are here in this celebrity narrated retelling of the classic Christmas story, accompanied by a 50 piece orchestra and a full choir. Just amazing.

Magic Kingdom Park brought something new this last holiday season with the Very Merriest After Hours event. This specially ticketed event was highlighted by holiday entertainment, parades, snacks, and sips - all included with the price of your ticket. You don't want to miss the magic of snow on Main Street, U.S.A.!

Disney's Hollywood Studios has in years past had a brilliant nighttime holiday show, and my family absolutely LOVED the Merry Menagerie puppets at Disney's Animal Kingdom this year. The gorgeous wintery-themed animal puppets were joined by live Christmas music, and it quickly became a must-do for us.

Everything is wrapped in lights, garlands, and bows, and you'll find some stunning Christmas trees, a life-sized gingerbread house, and other really incredible holiday displays. Your tinsel will be in a tangle from all the holiday excitement!

I hope you get to go and enjoy this most magical season at Walt Disney World, Emily!
