Hello Mums! I've just heard that monorail on reduced hours. We have a character breakfast with Stitch at the Poly at 8am in Oct. We're staying at POFQ and no car. Will the bus take us straight to Poly or will we have to get a taxi? Thanks

Hi Heather!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question.   I am so excited you are planning on visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, all the way from across the pond.  You are going to have an unforgettable adventure, I just know it.

Disney's monorail will run on an adjusted time schedule beginning on June 22, 2014.   This adjustment is scheduled to last through the summer, and should be finished by the time your vacation rolls around in October.  During the time the monorail schedule is adjusted, additional watercrafts and busses will be available to transport guests to their desired destinations.

In order to reach your reservation at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort you will need to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you can take a water taxi over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.   Water Taxis run about every ten minutes, and the ride is very scenic and lots of fun.  I would allow about 60-90 minutes travel time in order to reach your dining reservation.   It may not take this long, but I always like to allow a little extra time in case the unexpected pops up.

Please let me know how I can continue to assist you in the future, Heather. I love to help guests plan unforgettable Disney Parks holidays.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,
