Hello, my mum needs a mobility scooter. If we have one delivered to our hotel, can it be taken into the parks via Disney transport? Are charging facilities available in the hotels and parks? Thank you.

    Hey there, Joanne!

I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to planDisney! Your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner...how exciting!! Have you started packing yet? If not, now's the perfect time. And, don't forget to toss in that extra pair of Minnie ears, because let's be honest, there's no such thing as too many when you're fully immersed in the magic! From the music on Main Street, U.S.A. to that first glimpse of Cinderella Castle, every moment is about to feel straight out of a dream.

Walt Disney World Resort is wonderfully accommodating for Guests using mobility devices, including scooters. Many visitors opt to have their scooter delivered directly to their Disney Resort hotel so it's ready for them throughout their stay. While you're free to choose any rental company, ScooterBug is Disney's Featured Provider and offers the added convenience of not needing to be present for delivery. Your scooter will be waiting for you at Bell Services when you arrive.

Now let's talk transportation! All of Disney's complimentary transportation options – buses, water taxis, the monorail, and even the Disney Skyliner – are designed to accommodate scooters. Your mum can even remain seated right in her device if that's what's most comfortable for her.

When it comes to charging your scooter, you're welcome to plug it in right in your hotel room. However, if space feels a little tight, many Guests opt to leave it charging overnight in the covered hallway instead. While you're in the parks, you'll also find outlets at many Quick-Service dining locations, First Aid centers, Guest Relations, and even outside some restrooms if you need a quick battery boost during your day.

Joanne, I hope this gives you a little peace of mind as you finish up your planning. And if any other questions come up, you're always welcome as can be here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,
