Hi! We are multi-time visitors to WDW and always stay on property. We are trying to decide between a base and hopper ticket. We are staying at the Boardwalk. Do we have to enter Epcot and use our base ticket to ride the monorail to MK?

    Hi Steve,

Glad to hear you are planning your next Disney World visit. We love the Boardwalk Resort and all of it's amenities, especially the ideal location. It is fantastic to have the ability to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. My vote is always for the park hopper option on your park tickets. We like to have the option to move from one park to another, whether it is to avoid crowds or just to grab dinner at a different park. We often return to our resort for a late afternoon swim and then walk to Epcot for dinner or the fireworks. The park hopper option makes this possible.

If you are interested in using the monorail to get from the Boardwalk Resort to Magic Kingdom you will need to use your park pass at the World Shwocase entrance, walk thru Epcot and exit out the front gates. You will be able to catch the monorail to the Ticket and Transporation center, where you would exit the Epcot monorail and transfer to the Magic Kingdom monorail. In order to travel this route you would need a park hopper pass as you will need a ticket to enter Epcot and one to enter Magic Kingdom. If you choose to purchase just a base ticket, you can catch a Disney bus from the front of the Boardwalk directly to the Magic Kingdom.

    Have a great time!
