Aloha, Amy.
I’m so glad you sailed out to find where the sky meets the sea and found planDisney along the way. What can I say except you’re welcome!
You pose an excellent question, Amy. Luckily, my husband and I use
Disney Gift Cards to pay for the entirety of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I would be more than happy to help you navigate this process. The first thing you’ll want to do is head over to the
Disney Gift Card website. You should be able to log in using your Disney account login credentials (what you use to log into
My Disney Experience), but you may have to set up an account to get started.
Select “My Cards” from the menu options, then “Add a Card.” Once you input the card’s details, it will be saved to your account. Be sure to mark the gift card you’re using as one of your saved gift cards and keep it in a safe place. Go back to your “My Cards” page and add another gift card the same manner. Once you head back to your “My Cards” page again, you’ll see the option to “Transfer Funds To This Card” under your saved gift card. Click that option to transfer the amount from other gift cards to your saved gift card. Make sure to select the “Yes & Delete Empty Cards” option when you complete your transfer. You can continue consolidating until the saved gift card reaches a balance of $1,000. You can have up to six saved gift cards, each with a balance of $1,000, in your account at a time.
Remember,
you can only use one payment method at a time to pay for purchases on the Walt Disney World Resort website. If the total of your theme park tickets is greater than $1,000, you will need to call (407) 939-7679 to pay with more than one gift card at a time.
Amy, I hope this information proves useful, but let me know if you need further clarification. Enjoy your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
