We have multi-day park tickets and were told we don't need park reservations, but we're concerned that the app won't let us join a virtual queue for Guardians or Tron without a specific park reservation for that day.

    Hello there, Byron!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Soon, you'll be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. and soaking up the theme park thrills at The Most Magical Place on Earth! Now, Byron, there have been some recent enhancements to the Guest experience at the Walt Disney World Resort, so let's discuss how those updates might impact you during your upcoming visit.

As you know, theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based theme park tickets. Theme park reservations are still required for Annual Passes and other non-dated theme park admission types, Byron. For those admission types that still require theme park reservations to be made, Guests must have a reservation for the theme park they intend to visit in order to join a virtual queue for an attraction in that park. If you have a standard date-based multi-day theme park ticket, this requirement will not apply to you, and you'll be able to join the virtual queue for either Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind if you plan to visit EPCOT, or TRON Lightcycle / Run if you'll be spending the day at Magic Kingdom Park!

Byron, if you aren't sure about whether your theme park admission requires theme park reservations to be made, you're welcome to reach out to the friendly Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line ahead of your visit. I encourage you to confirm that your My Disney Experience mobile app is up to date to ensure a seamless experience when joining a virtual queue. I like to set an alarm for 6:55 a.m. so that I'm ready to add my travel party to the virtual queue right at 7:00 a.m. Remember, Byron, if you don't earn a spot during the 7:00 a.m. drop, you'll have another opportunity to join a virtual queue from inside the theme park that houses the attraction at 1:00 p.m.!

I hope you've found these details helpful, Byron, and I wish you a vacation filled with thrills and excitement! If you have any additional questions during your visit, feel free to stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
