I am moving from one DVC property to another. Will Disney store my perishables?

    Welcome Home Barbara!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A split-stay at two Disney Vacation Club properties is a fantastic way to experience the Magic in two different ways! I love Resort hopping as it gives me the chance to savor excellent Disney service with different theming. I can channel the spirit of ‘Ohana one day and the next day zoom into the future at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Luggage transfer between Resorts is a super convenient way to move your bags and allows you to enjoy hassle-free fun! All you have to do is contact Bell Services at your first Resort and let them know you need your luggage transferred. They will then move your bags for you. Bell Service Cast Members tell us that typically luggage is transferred between 1:00-4:00 pm. Don’t worry about items that need to be refrigerated; they have a fridge available for perishables. Just let the Cast Member who picks up your luggage know which bags need to be refrigerated. When you arrive at your second Resort, your luggage will be waiting for you at Bell Services. If you would like your luggage delivered to your room, they will happily do it for a nominal fee.

Before you head on your vacation, make sure to download the My Disney Experience app. You can check-in to your hotel from there, and they will also give your updates about your room availability. I love getting the Welcome! ping followed by the “Room Ready” text. It is so convenient, and allows you to focus on fun rather than waiting for your room! Once you return to the hotel, you can even use the app to unlock your hotel room door! So.Much.Fun!

Barbara, I wish you a magical vacation!
