I just moved to florida can I purchase tickets for my sister to go to walt Disney world, and yes I will be going with them

Hi, Rochelle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on your move to Florida! As a Florida resident, you'll find lots of special offers for Walt Disney World Resort, including discounted Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays and Theme Park tickets. The Florida resident discount only applies to the resident, though, as well as any minors accompanying them. If your sister is under 18, you can purchase a discounted ticket without her needing to show proof of residence, but anyone over 18 will need to purchase their own non-discounted ticketsMy fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Kay, answered a similar question not too long ago. She also says residents can purchase tickets in advance online, but you'll need to provide proof of residence to activate them.

Did you know there are also special offers for Annual Passes for Florida residents, too? My family and I became Annual Passholders several years ago, and it's one of the best decisions we've made. We love the ease and convenience of park hopping, discounts on dining, shopping and entertainment and other perks like V.I.Passholder nights as well.

I hope you and your sister have a wonderful time at The Most Magical Place on Earth, Rochelle! Please let us know how else we can help as you plan your visit.

Hiya, pals! I'm Amy from South Carolina. I'm married to my Disney-loving best friend, and together we've raised two princes and a princess. Whether I'm teaching my high school journalism students, planning Disney Bounding outfits with my daughter, or researching which new adventures we'll encounter on our next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I find a way to incorporate a little Disney magic into everything I do. I look forward to helping you discover the magic, too!  Learn More About Amy
