Hiya Courtney!
Welcome to planDisney! Also, congratulations on your move to Florida! My Prince Charming and I met in Florida, so it holds a special place in my heart. I hope you all get to make many magical memories during your April and future trips.
I loved when Walt Disney World Resort added the option to verify your residency online. We love to get to the parks as soon as they open, so not having to wait in line to verify our residency saved us a lot of time in the mornings. Since you have already verified your residency online, you are good to go for your trip, but your boyfriend will need to provide
proof of Florida Residency before he can use his tickets. Residency is determined for each individual and not per household. If your boyfriend doesn’t yet have a valid Florida driver’s license or ID, then he can also bring digital or printed copies of the following documents in his name from the past two months:
1. Proof of Current Mortgage
2. Select Bills, Registrations, and Policies
3. Certain Pieces of Mail (including banking account statements)
Earlier, I mentioned that I love trying to save time and avoid waiting in line when I could be grabbing a Mickey-shaped treat. If you are like me, I highly recommend verifying your boyfriend’s Florida residency the day before your planned trip at
Guest Services at Disney Springs. The lines to do so at Disney Springs, in my experience, are shorter, and if you have to wait, you can get in some shopping or grab a snack (check out
Gideon's Bakehouse for sure if you get a chance). I hope this was helpful, Courtney. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning!
Ashley F.
