My mother-in-law is very ill and is in a wheel chair. Her last wish is to take her granchildren to Disney. This will be the enite Family's 1st time. Which parks would be best for a wheelchair? What is a must do must see? Ages of children vary. Thanks!!

First let me say how very sorry I am that your family is having to face such a difficult time!  How wonderful, though, that your mother-in-law wants to make some magical memories with her grandchildren!

All of the Walt Disney World theme parks are wheelchair friendly.  I think of all of them, however, Animal Kingdom is my least favorite to push a wheelchair through.  My dad was in a wheelchair for several years, and it always seemed like we were pushing up hill often at Animal Kingdom.  Of course, we usually saved Animal Kingdom for the end of the trip, so it may have been that we were all just a bit more tired touring this park than any others.

For the happiest memories, I'd say the Magic Kingdom and the classic Walt Disney World attractions are a must do.  Nothing says Walt Disney World like a ride on It's a Small World, The Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean.  A visit to the Enchanted Tiki Room is fun for all ages, as is a ride on the Jungle Cruise.  And don't miss the magic of PhilHarMagic - a wonderful 3D movie experience.

Your mother-in-law will be in my thoughts.  I hope you are all able to enjoy a wonderful vacation together soon!
