Hi, My mother in law is 80 years old, has mobility issues and is blind. We want her to join us on our Disneyland trip but she cannot sit long in lines. Are there accommodations for the family as a group so we can be together and not do such long lines?

    Welcome to planDisney, Paola!

It sounds like you’re planning a family trip so fabulous it would make the Madrigals themselves jealous! I’m so glad you found us here as you found us here as you are looking into ways to make sure everyone in your familia is happy and cared for at The Happiest Place On Earth.

Paola, if someone in your traveling party needs accommodations, chatting with one of the friendly cast members about the Disability Access Service (DAS) could be incredibly helpful. It's a wonderful way to make your visit run more smoothly if you or members of your party require special considerations for navigating the theme parks or have difficulty waiting in a standard queue for an attraction. At the Disney Parks, everyone is welcome, and everybody gets to shine!

You can request a live video chat here to pre-register for the DAS as soon as 30 days before your visit. Think of it like having your own personal miracle, just like Mirabel discovering her unique way to help her family. Each guest has unique needs, and that conversation will help determine what accommodations you’ll need to make your visit as magical as possible. The call can also determine how many of your family members can accompany your mother-in-law on each attraction so that you can stay together as much as possible during your visit.

And Paola, you can also send an email over to disability.services@disneyparks.com if that's best for you. Those cast members are ready to listen and assist you with whatever you need, just like Antonio talking to his animal friends.

I hope this helps you plan a comfortable visit for you and all your family, Paola.  If you have any more questions, just send me another message, and I'll be back with an answer quicker than you can say, “What else can I do?

    The Miracle Is You!
