My mother in law has knee issues. Not sure if she will be able to ride a bike. Is it possible to walk to the lookout tower on castaway cay.

    Ahoy, Keith!

A stop in the tropical island paradise, Castaway Cay, is the highlight of our cruises on Disney Cruise Line! My husband and I have participated in the Castaway Cay 5K many times, and while on that course we run right past the lookout tower (usually twice per race!).

So, the answer to your question is yes! Your mother-in-law could walk to the lookout tower, but it is a bit of a hike. I would imagine if you took it slow, she could take the walk out there. You will want to take the tram to the Pelican Point tram stop and then you can walk to the path to the lookout tower.

I hope this helps with your cruise planning! Please come back and visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with further questions as your voyage gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
