Morning, We are 2 days into our 7 day Magical adventure. We are enjoying ourselves and very active around the park. My question, is it possible to downgrade the disney dining plan to the quick service dining plan. Take care

    Good morning, Nicholas!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us an excellent question about your current Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm so glad to hear that your stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth has been enjoyable so far and that you're maximizing your time at the theme parks!  Let's discuss modifications to dining plan selections so that you can continue on with your enchanting adventure!

It sounds like you've chosen to utilize the Disney Dining Plan during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, but are now reconsidering your decision. Nicholas, I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who informed me that, typically, dining plan selections can be modified up until 48 hours before a Guest's scheduled Disney Resort hotel check-in. Therefore, it's unlikely that you'll be able to downgrade to the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan since your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is already underway. However, I encourage you to take a moment to speak with the Cast Members at the Front Desk of your Resort hotel to confirm that no changes can be made at this point. That way, you'll have a verified answer specific to your current personal situation.

Nicholas, the Walt Disney World Resort offers Guest premium dining experiences, including both Table-Service and Quick-Service options. If you weren't able to schedule Table-Service reservations in advance at your 60-day booking window, I'm happy to inform you that you may still be able to enjoy these experiences with limited planning. I encourage you to explore Mobile Dine Walk-Up availability in the My Disney Experience mobile app for the duration of your vacation to maximize the value of your Disney Dining Plan. Also, plans change and cancelations do happen, so I recommend checking dining availability in the mobile app, even for same-day reservations. I've been able to snag some fantastic dining bookings this way!

I hope these suggestions help you to enjoy the remainder of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Nicholas. I wish you a trip filled with many magical meals! If you have any additional questions throughout your stay, be sure to drop back by planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
