The old dining plan allowed unused dining credits to be turned into a few snack credits, does the 2024 plan do this? It's a deciding factor in buying the plan for us. Thanks!

Hi there, Nina, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so thankful that you've chosen to trust us with this super important detail of your vacation planning. Candidly, dining experiences can be a make-or-break part of my visit, so I totally appreciate you taking this into careful consideration.

If you were familiar with previous dining plans, you'll recall some flexibility in transferring snacks and meals. At this time, that is not the case with the current Disney Dining Plan and Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. Happily, I'm sure you'll appreciate the advancements in placing a Mobile Food & Beverage Order through your My Disney Experience App. It will actually help ensure you're using your meals and snacks whenever possible! If you're placing a mobile order for a Quick-Service meal, but forget to add a beverage, you'll be prompted to add one before you check out because it is included with your meal! This little technological upgrade is going to save me a ton of time and mental energy when placing mobile orders for my family of five!

A big part of why I love dining plans so much, is because it encourages me to plan ahead and also try new dining experiences, so that I know I'm making the most of my meals and snacks. On top of that, it helps me to stay in the moment when I'm enjoying a meal with my family, because I know I've already taken care of the bill. Those family moments around the table are precious, so savoring every second is becoming increasingly important as my children grow!

Don't forget to grab Advance Dining Reservations at your favorite Table Service Restaurants 60 days before you check in, so you can ensure you have a seat for relaxing meals - definitely necessary during a fun-filled day at a Walt Disney World Theme Park!

Nina, only you can determine if a dining plan is a good idea for your party. I'm excited to give it a go with my family during our upcoming vacation, and I'm hopeful that it'll bring all the time and cost savings that I'm used to with previous dining plans, even with the new changes. If you have any other questions about dining, or where to find the best snacks, meals, and beverages, I'm your girl!

    Bon appetit!
