Morning! I was wondering if Kidani Village shares busses with any other resorts? It’s our first time staying at Animal Kingdom and I’m thinking about the logistics for travel times. I usually plan an hour but I know this resort is farther away than others

    Hi Michelle!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is one of my family’s Home Resorts and we absolutely love staying here. Kidani Village is our preference because of the laid back atmosphere and the extra bathroom in 1 and 2 bedroom villas. There is something magical about returning to Kidani Village after a busy day in the parks to the soft lighting and African drumbeats and I instantly feel transported to another time and place.

In my opinion, while geographically Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge may be further away than other resorts, in reality, it doesn’t feel that far to me. Bus transportation will pick you up at Kidani Village, then make only one stop at Jambo House before heading to the theme parks. When I have timed the trip, it is 19 minutes from Jambo House to the Magic Kingdom, so you can plan on about 25 minutes from the time you board at Kidani Village. When staying at some large resorts such as Disney’s Old Key West Resort where you have multiple bus stops, or when you need to stop at a second resort, the overall travel time from when I get on the bus to when I arrive at the Magic Kingdom is still around 20 minutes.

I too always plan about 1 hour of travel time to get from my resort to my destination and when we stay at Kidani Village, I don’t make any adjustments to that plan. If you are worried, it never hurts to allow yourself an extra 5 minutes of travel time.

I hope this helps as you plan out your trip, Michelle. If you have any additional questions, especially about Kidani Village, I am happy to help!
