Morning. We are hoping to next visit in April (2019) and i have started planning already. We are trying to avoid the Easter/Spring break in the hope of having not such big crowds. Im struggling to find when the US April holidays are. Can you help? Thanks.

    Hi Gary!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. April is a great month to visit Walt Disney World Resort as things begin to warm up, but aren't too hot just yet!

Easter in 2019 will fall on April 21st which can make estimating Spring Breaks a little tricky. Spring Break in the United States can usually range over multiple weeks and is usually affected by how early or late Easter occurs. In years that Easter is in March, you'll usually find that schools across the country will take their Spring Breaks starting the second week in March and usually finish up within the first few days of April. Years like this, like 2018 for example, you'll find that March is a fairly crowded month with April finding significantly lower crowds. In years that Easter falls later in April, some schools calendars will adjust their breaks around Easter. This means the crowds are usually spread out so you don't have as heavy of crowds, but they are spread out over 6 to 8 weeks in comparison. Since there is some difficulty in estimating this range this far in advance, as school calendars aren't usually released this early, if crowds are your concern I would plan on avoiding Easter as best you can!
