Hi Roxanne!
I think the hardest part about planning a Walt Disney World vacation is picking when to go! While you really can't go wrong at any time of the year, if you're looking to visit during a quieter time then picking dates where U.S. schools are in session will be your best bet. Generally, late August and September fit this criteria since most schools will be back in session after the Labor Day holiday.
Another huge plus for visiting in September is
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This is my favorite party at the Magic Kingdom! The spook-tacular decorations transform the park into the ultimate Halloween destination. Top it off with Trick-or-Treating, special fireworks over Cinderella's Castle and surprises at many of our favorite rides and you have an event that shouldn't be missed. Don't overlook the evening parade either. It is packed with surprises like dancing gravediggers and more.
Of course, that's not the only incredible Fall event! The
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is one of the most popular events at the park. Featuring great food throughout the World Showcase, you'll want to visit more than once! And food isn't the only attraction. You'll find special concerts, events and tours happening each day. There is so much to enjoy!
I hope this helps with your trip planning! Be sure to let the Disney Parks Moms Panel know if we can help with the planning!
