I want our 16 month old to sit in his carseat on the flight to Miami (we bought him his own seat). Some say it's not necessary/bulky to carry, but I think he will sit/sleep better. Thoughts? More importantly can I use the car seat in the taxi in Cozumel?

    Ahoy Considine!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  You have a great question about a carseat for your little one.  Since he is 16 months old, he will probably do better on the flight in his car seat rather than just buckled into the airplane's lap belt.  But, on the cruise portion of your vacation, you won't be able to utilize the seat on Disney Cruise Line's transportation as well as in the taxis and/or buses in the ports of call because they won't support car seats.  It will have to be stored in your stateroom until the end of your sailing.  Many Guests bring them along as a part of their luggage so their child will be more comfortable on the plane so it is really up to you on whether or not you feel like you can handle it during your travels.
I hope my answer helps with your decision, Considine!  Please keep me posted if think of any other cruise questions before your magical Miami voyage!
    Have a wonderful day!
