Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tammy!
My husband and I brought our first child to Walt Disney World Resort when he was 20 months old, and we were able to do A LOT!
I have filtered this
list of attractions by "any height". This means there is no minimum height or age required, and you may hold your child on your lap, or place them on the seat next to you. (A Cast Member can direct you as to the best option on any particular attraction.) This list is for all Walt Disney World attractions, but if you are only interested in Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Parks, you can use the drop-down menu on the top left where it says "All Parks & Resorts" to select only those two parks.
Kilimanjaro Safaris is among the attractions suitable for any height. The ride can be bumpy at times, so just be sure to hold your child securely.
Magic Kingdom Park has
many rides suitable for toddlers. Use your judgement to decide what may be best for your child. For example,
Haunted Mansion is listed as "any height", but young children may be frightened by the
dark or theme of the attraction.
Children under the age of 3 do not need an admission ticket. There is also no charge for children under age 3 to dine at
buffet or family-style restaurants. We took our son to meet his favorite friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood at
The Crystal Palace, which then became our family's sentimental favorite. That son is now 23, and we still dine at The Crystal Palace every visit.
Be sure to take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers in each Theme Park. These wonderful facilities provide a quiet, calm space for feeding and changing and have a small shop with baby essentials for sale.
I hope that helps! Please come back to the Moms Panel again as you
plan your visit. We will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
