Welcome back to planDisney, Julie! Thanks so much for stopping by with another great question. We always love hearing from you!
As Mickey would say, “Hot dog!” Your magical vacation starts tomorrow! You’re smart to think ahead about your morning plans, especially with
Early Theme Park Entry on your agenda. According to the Walt Disney World website, the
Monorail system typically begins operating 30 minutes prior to Early Theme Park Entry. That said, I called Guest Services to confirm, and the Cast Member I spoke with shared that the Monorail is scheduled to begin operating at 7:00 AM tomorrow. I do recommend checking with the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel before setting your alarm, just to be sure there haven’t been any last-minute updates.
It’s a great idea to arrive at the park gates about 30 minutes before Early Entry begins, which is usually one hour before the park’s official opening time. Having a game plan for your first attractions is key! Early Entry is a fantastic opportunity to experience some of the most popular rides with minimal wait times. And sometimes, the parks quietly start letting guests in a little earlier than advertised, so a little extra time can really pay off!
Depending on where you’re headed, some of my favorite Early Entry strategies include starting at Frozen Ever After or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT (followed by a pastry at Les Halles, of course!), or heading straight for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, or Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom. Bonus points if you treat yourself to waffles at Sleepy Hollow or a warm cinnamon roll at Gaston’s Tavern afterward!
Wishing you a practically perfect Disney day, Julie. Have the best time, and remember, we’re always just a question away if you need more help!
See ya real soon,
Eean
