    Will there be Monorail transportation or other from Shades of Green to Epcot early enough for 2018 Marathon Weekend due the 5:30am start for all races?

    Hi David!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on registering for an event during Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, I hope your training is going well!

    Historically, the Resort Monorail has began operation starting at 3 AM for the Walt Disney World Half Marathon and Full Marathon events. For the 5K and 10K, only buses are provided because they have fewer participants. While this is subject to change, I would say it's safe to assume that event transportation will operate the same for 2018. From Shades of Green, you can either take the winding path to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to hop on the monorail or there should be bus transportation provided direct from your hotel. Be on the lookout for the 2018 Digital Event Guide to be released with further information!
