Hello there, Kristen! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
With the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, there have been
some changes to policies based on guidance from public health and government officials. With all of these changes, it can be a bit confusing for Guests trying to plan their visits. Fortunately, we are here to help!
At this time, the
Monorail is operating on a modified schedule. Essentially, this means that the Monorail can provide transportation to the Magic Kingdom from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Transportation and Ticket Center. Currently, the Epcot Monorail is not operating.
Many of the dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort have reopened to the public and are accepting advanced dining reservations. However, there are some that may not currently be operating. You can find which locations are open by visiting the
Dining webpage and checking if a location has a “Temporarily Unavailable” note next to its name. Similarly, you can check and see if Character Dining options are available using this same technique. That being said, many Character Dining options that are currently operating are providing socially distanced character interactions.
As of today,
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is temporarily unavailable and no official opening date has been released.
With all of these items, I do strongly recommend you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World Resort website for any and all updates prior to your trip! There may be some changes that take place between now and December so be sure to keep an eye out for new information!
I hope you are able to plan a magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
