Hi Lydia,
Welcome to planDisney! It's lovely to have you with us!
Moving around Walt Disney World Resort can seem intimidating, can't it? A system of busses, boats,
flying gondolas, and a Walt Disney World Monorail can get you quickly and conveniently from place to place, but it certainly takes a minute to learn exactly how. Don't worry, Friend! I am here to help!
First, all of the official transportation options around Walt Disney World Resort are available to all Guests and are complimentary. Huzzah for that!
If your plan for the day involves a hop, skip, and a jump from the shopping, dining, and entertainment area of
Disney Springs to the Most Magical Place on Earth,
Magic Kingdom Park, then you will use Disney Bus Transportation for that travel. Unfortunately, there is no direct bus service from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom Park, so you will need to make a quick stop at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
My advice? I would board a bus bound for
Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once there, follow the walkway from the front of this iconic Resort hotel to Magic Kingdom Park. You will stop for a quick security check on your way, and will be crossing through the magical gates after about a ten-minute stroll.
At the end of the evening, you can board the Resort Loop of the Walt Disney World Monorail from the front of Magic Kingdom Park and soar through the sky back to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hop off and ride the escalator down one floor to grab a limited-edition cupcake from
Contempo Cafe. (I always find the best there!) Once finished, ride the elevator down to the first floor and walk back outside to the bus stop for your ride back to Disney Springs.
See? That was pretty easy. I even made a plan that included sugar!
Lydia, we at planDisney are here for you. Please let us know how else we can help you with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans. It's an honor to help.
Adventure is out there,
Sally
