    Is the monorail currently closed going directly to the Grand Floridian?

    Hi Jessica!

    One of the amazing benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the ability to take advantage of the convenient (and complimentary) transportation options throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!  Depending on which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you choose, you can take advantage of the Walt Disney World Bus Service, the Walt Disney World Water Transportation, and even the Resort Monorail, which really is an attraction of its own!  While staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you will have access to all of these transportation options!  

    The Resort Monorail is currently running, and although technical issues can arise every once in a while and cause delays, there have been no announcements about it being closed for any reason.  Also remember that the Resort Monorail will not currently take you directly to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa from Magic Kingdom Park without first stopping at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
