Hi Mom, We have been to Disney many times but still have a question. This trip will be in June. It has been a long time since we have visited in the summer season so we need advice on how to Beat the Heat. What is the best time for table service meals?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, John! If you are like me, each Walt Disney Wold vacation is unique and exciting as there is so much to do and see both inside and outside of the theme parks! My family has visited during the months of May and June many times and although it can be hot, there are definitely ways to beat the heat. I would highly recommend arriving to the park at opening to take advantage of cooler temperatures. If you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, I would recommend heading back to your resort for a dip in the pool or a midday break when the temperatures are at the highest. You can then return to the parks in the evening to experience the nighttime activities. When touring the parks, we also like to experience many of the indoor attractions and shows midday and early afternoon. I personally prefer to schedule our table-service meals either for lunch or dinner especially during the summer months. We typically book more table-service meals at lunch when park touring and table-service meals at dinner when we are enjoying a "resort day" or water park day. I would also recommend visiting one of Disney's Water Parks for your upcoming trip. My family loves visiting both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon for the exciting attractions, unique theming, and relaxing, yet fun atmosphere.Be sure to stay hydrated when traveling in the summer and take advantage of the cool treats for that afternoon snack. My personal favorite is the Dole Whip Float at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom Park. There are also misting fans available to purchase that are great to help cool you down. You can purchase the misting fans at the theme parks and I have also found them at my local Walmart. Be sure to wear "clothing that breathes," avoid dark colors, and comfortable flip flops or sandals. I would also recommend sunglasses, visors or caps, and lots of sunscreen! Please feel free to visit me again with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
