Hi moms, We are staying at P.O. riverside 2/23/13.Trying to figure out where to request a room. Would like to be by the first bus stop in the morning. Online they suggest by the main lobby, in the review book I have they suggest north or west. Bus stop.

Hi Joyce! This is a tricky one, because at Walt Disney World, everything's subject to change. The South Depot, the bus stop just outside the main building at Port Orleans Riverside, has generally been the first stop for the resort's buses. However, I've seen reports from recent Port Orleans Riverside guests that indicated the West Depot was the first stop. Often, if the bus fills up at the South Depot in the mornings, it will head straight to the park and another bus will start at the West Depot and then pick up guests at the North and East Depots before heading to the parks. Alligator Bayou buildings 14, 15 and 16 would be most convenient to the South Depot while buildings 24, 25, 34 and 35 are closest to the West Depot.  Since the bus routes can vary, you might want to indicate on your room request that you'd like to be in the building nearest to the first bus stop, rather than specifying a desired building.  Personally I would request a room close to the main building and the South Depot because the other buildings are quite a walk from the restaurants, and after a long day walking in the parks, I don't want a long walk at my resort.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
