Hi Moms, We are sailing the Western Caribbean on the Fantasy in March. Will we need to take our passports off the ship with us at each port, or can we take a photocopy of the id page and keep them locked in our room safes on board? Thank you so much!

Hi Josh! You are going to have a blast on your Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy next month! I just sailed the Disney Magic to the Western Caribbean this past week and it was wonderful! The weather was perfect, the ports were great and the activities onboard were magical!

I'd recommend carrying your passport with you in the ports. You never know what might happen - maybe an accident or you simply miss the ship. You would then need your passports to be able to get back home. My family keeps our passports locked in the safe in our staterooms throughout the cruise, but we always keep the passports with us when going into a foreign port. Most likely you won't need it at all, but it's always better to be safe. Adults will need a photo ID along with their Key to the World cards to reboard the ship after being in port, so instead of bringing your driver's license, the passport will work for this as well.

I hope this helps you plan, Josh! Let me know if you have other questions before you set sail next month on the beautiful Disney Fantasy!
